Front Line Apparatus
Rescue 11-7: 2013 Dodge - Highway Truck equipped with a full complement of auto extrication tools. This services both the Town of Fort Frances and the Central Zone of the Rainy River District.
Pumper 11-1: 2019 Spartan Metro Star equipped with a 6000 LPM pump, ground ladders, and both firefighting and medical equipment. This is the front line, first response pumper.
Pumper 11-2: 2008 Spartan Furion equipped with a 5000 LPM pump, ground ladders and firefighting equipment, this acts as an additional apparatus for larger incidents, a reserve pumper, or for training purposes.
Ladder 11-3: 2023 E-ONE HP 78-Foot Typhoon aerial ladder equipped with a 6000 LPM pump. This acts as a specialized vehicle for elevated work and rescues, as well as for delivering large volumes of water from an elevated location on large fires. With pumping capability and a hose and firefighting tool also acts as a reserve front line pumper.
Marine Response
Marine 11-9: 14 foot Aluminum boat with 25 hp motor. Used primarily for rescue support and access to municipal islands for fire suppression and prevention duties.
Oceanid RDC (Rapid Deployment Craft): Designed for quick deployment for shore based open water and ice rescue.
Command Vehicle
Rescue 11-6: 2017 Chevy Silverado Four Door Extended Cab – Primarily used as a command vehicle as well as for general utility purposes.
Under Construction
The following units are currently not deployed on incidents. However, your forward-thinking fire department is working diligently towards the reconfiguration and training required for their eventual front line use.
Decon/Rehab 11-4: 14 foot trailer equipped with Decontamination and Rehabilitation supplies. Deployed primarily to fire incidents for providing decontamination of personnel, PPE and equipment, as well as rehabilitation of personnel.
Command 11-5: 2010 - 28 foot trailer deployed as a mobile command post for large scale incidents or those with long operational periods. Also used as an on-site wo
