Community Futures Week

WHEREAS, Community Futures Development Corporations across Ontario, including Rainy River Future Development Corporation, play a vital role in supporting entrepreneurs, small businesses, and economic development in rural communities; and

WHEREAS, Community Futures Week celebrates the contributions of Community Future organizations in helping local businesses grow, creating jobs, and strengthening the economic resilience of rural Ontario; and

WHEREAS, the dedication of the staff, volunteers, and partners of the Community Futures network continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents and the strength of our local economy;

NOW THEREFORE, I, Andrew Hallikas, Mayor of the Town of Fort Frances, do hereby proclaim September 21-27, 2026 as “COMMUNITY FUTURES WEEK” in the Town of Fort Frances, and encourage all residents to join in recognizing the important contributions of Rainy River Future Development Corporation to our community.
