Pop-Up Elopement Day October 31, 2025

As part of the Town's expansion of wedding service, we are pleased to offer Pop-Up Elopement Days! The form below is for October 31, 2025 and will take place at Eighth Street Trail (weather permitting). Please be advised that the date, time and location cannot be exchanged for another. Council chambers will be booked as an alternate location and will be decorated accordingly.

Our first Elopement Day was held on August 29th and was a huge success! Couples, witnesses, friends and family joined us on the docks at La Verendrye Parkway overlooking the beautiful Rainy River, where they were wed.

For the form below, time slots are first come, first serve. You are able to pick multiple time slots if you would like, and we will do our best to accommodate preferences. Couples will be contacted prior to the October 31st with more details.

Pop-Up Elopements are done for $500 which includes the cost of the marriage licence. If you have already have a valid marriage licence or want to renew your vows, the cost is $347.

Out of Town and worried you won't be able to come in and see us beforehand? No worries! We can do everything virtually, and can either accept cheque or cash payment at the Trails, or you can stop by 320 Portage Avenue and visit our Cashier upstairs to pay by cash, debit or cheque before you come to the Trails.
