A special meeting of Committee of the Whole of Council is scheduled for 12noon on Monday October 17, 2016 in the Committee Room, Civic Centre.

At this meeting Council will further discuss Agency One negotiations, therefore the majority of the meeting will be held in camera.

The agenda will be posted on the Town's civic web portal.

Public Notice: Public Meeting

Fort Frances citizens are invited to present their suggestions and comments to Council on what they believe are municipal services/projects to be included in the 2017 Budget.

Citizens are invited to attend the Regular Public Council meeting on Monday September 26, 2016

Public Notice: Temporary Road Closure

To accommodate the Boundary Waters Dragon Boat Festival, Front Street (between Minnie Avenue and Butler Avenue) shall be closed to through traffic from 7:30am to 5:30 pm on Saturday September 17, 2016.

Scott Street is to be used as the alternate route for heavy truck traffic during this period.

Local traffic to/from residences and boat launch will not be affected.

Monday August 8, 2016 with a start time of 5:00 p.m.

Public Notice: Draft Business Licensing By-law

A new Draft copy of the Business Licensing By-law is available for review/comment.  Copies can be picked up at the Civic Centre, or you can view a copy online by clicking here.

Additionally, an open house will be held on August 24, 2016 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

We welcome your feedback/comments.  Target implementation date is January 1, 2017.

Public Notice: Temporary Road Closure

To accommodate the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship, Front Street (between Minnie Avenue and Butler Avenue) will be closed to through traffic as follows:

From Thursday July 14 at 8:00am

To Monday July 25 at 4:00pm

Scott Street is to be used as the alternate route for heavy truck traffic during this period (except on Wednesday July 20).

The following traffic is not affected by this closure:

- Local traffic to and from residences with access to the closed street

- Traffic destined for the Sorting Gap Marina to use the boat ramp.

Public Notice: Temporary Road Closure

To accommodate the holding of the Business Improvement Area event 'Boat Show and Shine' the 100, 200 and 300 blocks of Scott Street shall be closed to through traffic on:

Wednesday July 20, 2016 from 8:00am to 5:00pm

Heavy truck traffic should utilize Second Street on this day.

Emergency vehicle access lane is located on the north side of Scott Street.

Traffic through intersections at Mowat, Portage and Victoria are not affected.

Public Notice: Temporary Road Closure

To accommodate the holding of the 'Canada Day Parade' on Friday July 1, 2016 between 10:00 a.m. and 12 noon the following route will be followed, therefore affecting traffic flow for that period of time.

Depart Sorting Gap Marina at 10:00 am travelling westward on Front Street, turning North on Armit Avenue and then West onto Church Avenue.  The parade finishes at the Royal Canadian Legion by 12 noon.
