The Town of Fort Frances wishes to obtain proposals from a reputable consulting firm to complete a comprehensive Recreation & Culture Master Plan. Submissions are restricted to those consulting firms that can demonstrate qualifications and experience in the field of Recreation, in particular, previous experience preparing municipal Parks and Recreation Master Plans.

Volunteer Appreciation BBQ

The Town of Fort Frances is excited to treat local volunteers to a BBQ and provide an expression of sincere gratitude as it gets ready to host its 1st Annual Volunteer Appreciation Event.  

The BBQ will be held at the Rainy Lake Square, 235 Scott St in Fort Frances on Friday June 30, 2023 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

2023 Surplus Assets Sale

The Town has declared a list of surplus assets and is accepting bids on the assets until July 4th, 2023 at 2:00pm CST. 

Power has been restored ahead of schedule!

NOTICE

The Town is happy to announce that power has been restored ahead of schedule thanks to some excellent work by Cannect Electric and the Town’s Public Works Crew!

The public facing compactor and commercial compactor are both now re-opened! Bins have also been placed out to handle overflow.

Other updates include: an engineering consultant has been engaged to design a new Recycle Depot.

A return date for curbside collection is still not yet known.

Rainy Lake Square - Market Thursday Update

MARKET THURSDAY UPDATE:

A HUGE THANKS to our local BIA (Fort Frances BIA) for stepping up and providing a Blanket Business License for ALL Rainy Lake Square Vendors!

Thanks to the BIA, market vendors are no longer required to apply for individual Business Licenses to participate in our 2023 Rainy Lake Market Season.
