The Town has declared a list of surplus assets and is accepting bids on the assets until July 4th, 2023 at 2:00pm CST.

The Town is happy to announce that power has been restored ahead of schedule thanks to some excellent work by Cannect Electric and the Town’s Public Works Crew!

The public facing compactor and commercial compactor are both now re-opened! Bins have also been placed out to handle overflow.

Other updates include: an engineering consultant has been engaged to design a new Recycle Depot.

A return date for curbside collection is still not yet known.

MARKET THURSDAY UPDATE:

A HUGE THANKS to our local BIA (Fort Frances BIA) for stepping up and providing a Blanket Business License for ALL Rainy Lake Square Vendors!

Thanks to the BIA, market vendors are no longer required to apply for individual Business Licenses to participate in our 2023 Rainy Lake Market Season.

The Council of the Town of Fort Frances has approved the month of May to be No Mow May, and interested residents can help to increase pollinator friendly habitat by encouraging pollinator-friendly lawn-care practices on their own properties for the month of May.

The National Day of Mourning is not only a day to remember and honour those lives lost or injured due to a workplace tragedy, but also a day to collectively renew our commitment to improve health and safety in the workplace and prevent further injuries, illnesses and deaths.
