Public Notice: Notice - Special Council Meeting - April 2, 2020

A special meeting of Council is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. Thursday April 2, 2020 which will be held virtually with a link/call in number for the public to be posted on this website.

 

At this meeting Council will consider an amendment to the Procedural By-law which will enable Town Committee of the Whole, Council, Executive and Advisory/Board meetings to be held electronically during this declared emergency.

Public Notice: COVID-19: March 18th Update

We would like to remind the general public to continue to follow all recommendations provided to them by our public health professionals:

  • Check on your neighbours, offer your help and support to run errands. While keeping social distancing practices at the fore front.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water thoroughly and often.
  • Following cough and sneeze etiquette.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Practice social distancing as much as possible (2-3 meters physical contact), Even when enjoying outdoors.
  • Avoid unnecessary group interactions such as parties, social gatherings, large meetings etc.
  • Frequently used surfaces should be cleaned & disinfected regularly using appropriate cleaning methods.

Public Notice: Cancellation of Executive, Advisory and Council Meetings

Given the current circumstances, please be advised that that at this time, Executive Committee and Advisory Committee/Board meetings

are being cancelled. In addition, the March 23rd meeting of COW and Council are being cancelled.

Cancellations, as always will be reassessed on a ongoing basis.

The Town of Fort Frances is implementing the following actions with a focus on maintaining operational continuity of essential services during this period.

  • All Town Facilities are CLOSED to the General Public until further notice. However, we will be reassessing this on a regular basis.
