Please be advised that the 'Summer Meetings' scheduled for Committee of the Whole and Regular Council meetings are as follows:

Monday July 9, 2018 with a start time of 5:00 p.m.
Monday August 13, 2018 with a start time of 5:00 p.m.

2018 Municipal & School Board Elections

Are you interested in running for office in the 2018 Municipal & School Board Elections or becoming a Third Party Advertiser?  

Please register to attend an Information Session scheduled for Wednesday June 27, 2018 at 6:30 pm in Council Chambers, Civic Centre, 320 Portage Avenue, Fort Frances.

Ministry staff will provide attendees with information on a variety of topics.

Temporary Road Closure

To accommodate the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship, Front Street south of the Shevlin Wood Yard between Minnie Avenue and Butler Avenue shall be closed to through traffic from Friday July 13 at 8:00am to Monday July 23 at 4:00pm.

Scott Street is to be used as the alternate route for heavy truck traffic during this period.

Temporary Road Closure

To accommodate the Boundary Waters Dragon Boat Festival, Front Street south of the Shevlin Wood Yard between Minnie Avenue and Butler Avenue shall be closed to through traffic on Saturday June 30, 2018 between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm.

Scott Street is to be used as the alternate route for heavy truck traffic during this period.

 

Special Committee of the Whole Meeting

A special meeting of the Committee of the Whole of Council is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday April 24th, 2018 in the Council Chambers at the Civic Centre.

At this meeting Council will receive information related to an Addition to Reserve process and Council will further discuss litigation matters with the Town Lawyers, therefore a portion of the meeting will be held in camera.

Special Committee of the Whole Meeting

A special meeting of Committee of the Whole of Council is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Monday April 23, 2018 in the Committee Room at the Civic Centre.

At this meeting Council will receive advice from the Town Solicitor, therefore the majority of the meeting will be held in camera.

Notice of Surplus Land

TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Fort Frances has declared the property legally described as PCL BLK A-2 SEC SM211; Firstly Pt BLK A PL SM211 McIrvine Parts 1, 2, 3, 4 and  a portion of 5, 48R2330 (5th Street - Industrial Park) surplus to the needs of the municipality and further that Council has approved disposal of said property to be completed via direct sale.

Special Committee of the Whole Meeting - BUDGET

A special meeting of Committee of the Whole of Council is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Monday April 2, 2018 in the Committee Room, Civic Centre.

At this meeting Council will further discuss the 2018 Capital Budget.
