Given the current circumstances, please be advised that that at this time, Executive Committee and Advisory Committee/Board meetings

are being cancelled. In addition, the March 23rd meeting of COW and Council are being cancelled.

Cancellations, as always will be reassessed on a ongoing basis.

The Town of Fort Frances is implementing the following actions with a focus on maintaining operational continuity of essential services during this period.

  • All Town Facilities are CLOSED to the General Public until further notice. However, we will be reassessing this on a regular basis.
  • The Town will continue to maintain all essential services.

A special meeting of Committee of the Whole of Council is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday March 2, 2020 in the Committee Room at the Civic Centre with a Special Council meeting to immediately follow (if required).

 

At this meeting Council will further review and discuss the 2020 Operating Budget along with consideration of identifiable individual matters to be held in camera.

Public Notice: Public Notice - Visioning Session Shevlin Wood Yard and Gateway to Market Square Revitalization Study

Take notice that HTFC Planning & Design will be hosting a visioning workshop for stakeholders and the general public regarding the land use and economic feasibility study for the re-development of the Shevlin wood yard and the gateway to the market square. The meeting will take place on Wednesday February 12, 2020 at La Place Rendezvous (LaVerendrye Room) from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

Public Notice: Residential Building Lots for Sale - Erin Crescent

The Town of Fort Frances is offering 27 residential lots located in close proximity to Kaitlyn Drive.

Prices of lots have been finalized and adjusted for marketability and are offered for sale 'as is' on a first-come, first-served basis.

The lots will be fully serviced with water, sewer, and utilities in the Fall of 2020.  Curb, gutter and paving are expected to be completed in 2021.  Building can begin once the snow goes in 2020.
