Notice is hereby given that the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Fort Frances will be commencing its 2024 Municipal budget deliberations as follows:

Monday March 4, 2024 Special Meeting
The meetings will begin at 5:30 pm in the Council Chambers at the Civic Centre and will be held virtually. The virtual meeting link may be accessed via the Council agenda as indicated below.
The Town of Fort Frances is updating its outdated Community Improvement Plan to support investment, redevelopment, revitalization, and current economic development priorities through a new, comprehensive plan.
WHEREAS, Community Living Fort Frances and District is a local organization that works to improve the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities through partnership and collaboration; and;
WHEREAS, Community Living Fort Frances and District has been providing services and support to people with developmental disabilities and their families in the Fort Frances and Rainy River District area since 1960; and;
WHEREAS, access to healthcare is a fundamental right for all citizens, regardless of their geographic location or financial circumstances; and
WHEREAS, for 40 years, Hope Air, a charitable organization, has been dedicated to removing barriers to healthcare by providing free travel supports for Canadians who must travel far from home to access medical treatment; and
WHEREAS, the night sky has been a source of wonder, creativity, and inspiration for generations connecting humanity with the cosmos, and
WHEREAS, preserving our dark skies is vital to ensure that future generations can continue to experience its beauty, learn from it, and find their own sense of awe, and
Council, Management, and Supervisors of the Town of Fort Frances are undertaking leadership training. Due to a quorum (majority) of Council members attending, a special meeting must be called. This meeting is closed to the public, pursuant to Section 239 (3.1) of the Municipal Act. TAKE NOTICE that a meeting of the Committee of Adjustment for the Corporation of the Town of Fort Frances will be held on Wednesday April 15, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., in the Committee Room of the Fort Frances Civic Centre to consider the following application submitted under Section 53 of the Planning Act, R.S.O.1990, c. P.13, as amended:
