Today, Mayor Hallikas along with fellow Councilors, and dedicated Municipal Staff gathered to officially inaugurate our brand-new Recycling Facility.
The new building comes with significant enhancements and as such we are thrilled to announce that with the resumption of curbside pickup, glass containers can now be included in the curbside recycling program.
WHEREAS, Shine the Light is a campaign that was initiated in London, Ontario by the London Abused Women’s Centre to increase public awareness of the ongoing issue of woman abuse;
WHEREAS, the "Shine the Light on Woman Abuse" campaign is dedicated to shedding light on the darkness of woman abuse, highlighting an unwavering commitment to prevention, support and education;
WHEREAS, The campaign’s signature colour purple is used to symbolize courage, survival, and honour and has come to symbolize the fight to end woman abuse”
The Royal Canadian Legion Annual Poppy Campaign

Whereas, the poppy has stood as a symbol of Remembrance since 1921, our visual pledge to never forget those Canadians who have fallen in war and military operations; and
Whereas, from the last Friday of October to Remembrance Day, poppies blossom on lapels and collars to inspire Canadians to Remember the many blessings and freedoms Canadians enjoy today as a result of the sacrifices of those who serve their country; and
