Meet The Officiants
Meet the Officiants
Ally Lewis (she/her)I’m Ally, the Communications Coordinator & Deputy Clerk for the Town of Fort Frances. I have always loved weddings and now I am so excited to help be a part of the process for couples in the community! I have been enjoying the process of issuing marriage licences and helping couples figure out what ceremony options we offer that work best for them. I wholeheartedly support anyone who wants to make their commitment to each other official, and I will perform marriages for anyone legally able to marry in Ontario. Ceremonies are offered in English, and I am happy to personalize them to make your special day a little more personal. |

Chelsea Greig (she/her)I’m Chelsea, the Municipal Clerk for the Town of Fort Frances. Weddings are my favourite part of the job, and I’ve done dozens of them since Spring of 2024! I’m most excited about offering office weddings for couples who simply want to make it official, and helping plan and officiate our special Pop-Up Elopements. I’ve also performed weddings for 2SLGBTQ+ couples, and I’m proud to support and celebrate love in all its forms for anyone legally able to marry in Ontario. Ceremonies are offered in English, with room for personalization. I'm also beginner-level in French and advanced-beginner in German, so with some advance notice, I can provide basic ceremonies in either language. |
John Burrows (he/him)I’m John, Chief Building Official and Municipal Planner for the Town of Fort Frances. I offered to help with the town weddings because I want to do more for the community. I enjoy engaging with people and want to help be a positive presence on an important day in their lives. I cannot assist with the marriage licence process, but offer my services for officiating after-hours and weekend ceremonies as my schedule allows. I can perform ceremonies in English and will marry anyone legally able to marry in Ontario. |
